About Us

Our History

For 50 years dance classes had been offered in the historic Laurel Community Hall. Judie Sandell operated a private dance school for over 20 years. In 1998, a small group of volunteers rescued the school from its planned closure. Now with new directors, we offer professional quality classical and contemporary dance education to children and adults as we continue the tradition. Laurel Valley School of Dance operates as a non-profit community based organization now offering classes in Laurelwood. We are using the Adventist Church building with two studio spaces, family lounge and storage space.
